In April 1987 Cosmos Services (America) Inc. was founded in New York City as a subsidiary of the Japanese trading company, Itochu Corporation.
In December 1997, Cosmos expanded its business to the Mid-West region, with the acquisition of Honda & Associates Inc., a well known Chicago-based broker handling Japanese clients.
In December 2002, Cosmos acquired Morita & Co. Inc., thereby expanding its East Coast operation to include a substantial Personal Lines clientele.
In January 2005, to enhance our nationwide risk solutions services, Cosmos (d/b/a Cosmos America Insurance Services in the state of CA) acquired the Los Angeles based broker, MFC Insurance Services, LLC.
